⊰♫⊱ Indeed; observing the actions of one cooking and attempting to do the same herself were two very different things, but Echo didn’t intend to be deterred by this fact. Feats that were viewed by her eyes were usually learned soon afterwards without much difficulty. However, following the provided instructions were simple and yet they still didn’t quite bear the desired result the duo wished for, much to her growing displeasure. A moment of respite, and her vision was abruptly obscured by a cloud of white, no doubt the doing of the person who’d offered their assistance in the making of the sugary treat. “What…are you doing…?” The silverette’s words forced out in-between numerous coughs.
(I’m good and my mum’s said she doesn’t think she can cry anymore, as it was her own mother who passed away, so hopefully all will be well after a while.)
Why was she so insistent on ‘just echo’? Echo-chan was much cuter anyway! Besides, he didn’t really have a reason. “I just wanted one!”
⊰♫⊱ “It’s considered rude to touch someone without their permission.” Stating the fact rather than abiding by it herself, both Noise and Master Vincent could do what they liked to her. “Why hug Echo of all people?”
Oz wore the stupidest grin as he practically danced over to the albino. Most like surprising her when he wrapped her in an embrace. “I just wanted to hug Echo-chan~”
⊰♫⊱ The silverette remained rooted where she was stood. Surprise and shock were indeed the correct words to use at this moment. “It’s just Echo and what for…?“
⊰♫⊱ The faint sound of pen on paper was abruptly ceased as soon as it first began, Echo glancing upwards from her recent handwritten entry and into the eyes of the one who’d chosen to approach. She shortly decided to break the silence first. “Is there something you require from Echo?”
This blog is open to rp with OCs and characters from other fandoms, though I'll probably be less inclined if you don’t have a page describing your muse or if I’m not too familiar with the fandom your character is from.
This is a multi-ship and multi-verse blog and thus, no other relationships will coincide with each other in the same universe.
Currently, this blog does contain slight NSFW content but is for the most part
SFW. The mun is also uncomfortable and is under-age to partake in smut but other forms of roleplay are fine, such as angst, fluff, crack and the like - of which will be tagged with trigger warnings accordingly.
Regarding threads and replies, as I’m a college student, I may either be extremely slow or fast at times so please bear with me and don't repeatedly pester for them.
If I make a mistake of some kind or another, as in misinterpreting an aspect of your character or maybe breaking one of your rules, please inform me of it and I’ll quickly correct it. There's quite a few blogs that I follow and sometimes it's hard to keep track of who has which rules and who doesn't.
I probably won’t be able to follow back everyone that follows me for various reasons and please don’t expect me to do so. Please don't take it personally, it may be just that I don't see any possible interactions of my muse with yours.
If you want to start something with me, feel free to ask!
All the icons that I have for Echo were edited and made by me and I request that you don't steal them and claim them for your own. My FC for OOC posts is Hibiya Amamiya and the icons I use can be found below: ●●●●
Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, the theme credit isn't showing where it should be, so instead it's here.
Name: Echo (Duldum)
Gender: Female
Race: Chain
Age: 16 (Self-claimed)
Birthday: June 11th
Height: 5'3/160cm
Occupation: Valet
Affiliations: Nightray Dukedom & Baskerville Clan
Echo’s overall persona had originally seemed to be emotionless, only capable of taking orders exactly as she’s meant to and only ever speaking in her monotone vocal range. Due to Noise's antagonizing behavior, she thinks that she's nothing more than an 'Echo of Noise' and thus leading Echo to having difficulty making decisions on her own.
Echo didn't seem to have any individuality to set her apart from an empty doll, however as time passed Echo has proved this initial impression wrong, making it apparent that she simply has difficulty expressing herself.
History
She is Vincent Nightray’s servant who boasts high combat skills. Since her calm, level-headedness allows her to accurately assess a situation, she can perform high level missions such as scout outs and intelligence activities. Her acquaintance Gil also acknowledges her extraordinary skill. Before she simply did nothing but follow her master’s orders and from that image she came to call herself a “puppet.”
Echo is also the spilt personality of the Baskerville named Noise (Zwei) who adores Vincent and manipulates the Chain Duldee, who raided Oz’s Coming-of-Age ceremony. Echo’s original name is actually Duldum, with Echo being a name that was given to her by Noise, and her main purpose is to act as Duldee’s puppet and to help prevent Noise’s sanity from collapsing. Since she elapses arbitrary into unstable emotions, through Vincent’s orders, Echo has shut out Noise’s personality.
Due to both her and Noise’s presence within the same body, the majority of the Baskerville Clan has taken to calling them 'Zwei', meaning “Two”, to act as a play on Echo’s dual personalities.
Abilities & Powers
Possession: As a split personality created by Duldee, Echo had the ability to take the place of Noise as the active personality. However, due to Noise's adopted aggression, Echo tended to only take on her role as the active personality whenever Noise was ordered by Vincent to recede into her subconsciousness.
Maintenance of Heart: Like her predecessors, Echo was capable of picking up the broken pieces of Noise's heart and absorbing them in order to keep them safe until the day that Noise could reclaim them herself - as was her duty as Duldum.
Hand-To-Hand Combat: Echo was a skilled combatant, often making use of a unique acrobatic technique whilst sparring against opponents with her twin blue-bladed short swords. However, in battle Echo tended to focus moreso on the exact orders she'd been given, and would even on occasion be compelled to take action in certain situations without consciously being aware of why she'd done so.
Hyper Endurance: All Baskervilles possess enhanced speed, strength and endurance as an effect of being chosen to act as messengers of the Abyss. Thus, due to her connection with Noise, Echo possessed such qualities as well - allowing her to carry on in battle without tiring and endure against extreme conditions that regular humans would have difficulty coping against.
Healing: As a Baskerville, Noise was able to heal from her wounds at a rapid pace - even moreso than her older colleagues because of her young age. As such, Echo could also heal her wounds - only when serious wounds were inflicted on either personality, Vincent would have them switch so that either Echo or Noise could heal fully without interruption while their counterpart continued to do his bidding.
